What is name numerology

In Pythagorean numerology, every letter has a value from 1 to 9 (A=1, B=2 … I=9, J=1 and so on). Adding up the letters of the full name and reducing the total to one digit, always keeping the master numbers 11, 22 and 33, gives three core numbers for the name. That is why many families compare candidate names before registering the birth.

How the comparison works

Expression adds all the letters of the full name and speaks of talents and way of acting. Soul adds only the vowels and speaks of what drives the person inside. Personality adds only the consonants and speaks of the impression the person makes. Accents are ignored (Á counts as A), Ç counts as C, Ñ as N, and spaces, hyphens and apostrophes don't count. These three numbers come only from the letters, so you can compare names before the baby is born.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to include the surname?
Yes. Numerology uses the full name as it will be registered. Changing or adding a surname can change all three numbers.
Why is there no date-of-birth field?
Expression, Soul and Personality come only from the letters of the name. The date is used for other numbers, such as the Life Path, which depend on the day of birth.
Are the names I type saved?
No. The calculation happens in your browser and nothing is sent to a server or stored.
